As I am writing this with shriveled fingers (from lots of cleaning of our rooms and toys) I am amazed at the cheerfulness and excitement of our PDO staff. Everyone is busy helping to clean, straighten and get ready for our Open House on Thursday, August 26th. We are all excited and ready to start our new school year.

During our home visits the parents were expressing their children’s eagerness to get back to school. We are just as eager to see them as I think that we can honestly say we missed them over the summer. The children and parents alike enjoyed their welcome back gift bags filled with goodies.

We welcome back Miss Kellie, Miss Maureen and Miss Debbie, as well as Miss JoEllen who was a sub for us the past two years and is going to be with us as one of the lead teachers in the toddler room. I am excited to add to our staff as our program continues to grow.

Our first week is always an incredibly busy one as the children adjust back into their classroom routines. We will be talking to them about how God made them special. We will discuss how all of them are unique and special individuals and that God loves them very much.

We are looking forward to cooler weather and our outside playtime. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and say hi. The children love visitors - especially the four legged kind.
