Our 2010 Vacation Bible School concluded on Friday. Every sesssion started with the same call to attention: "Hey, everybody".
Each day began in the sanctuary with the introduction of the theme animal of the day, with some catchword that we wanted the kids to understand. After a prayer, the groups headed out to the many activities planned for the day.
On two days, thunderstorms prevented outdoor activities and that called for a shift to "Plan B" --- fortunately, there was one. Other days, it was really hot outside but that didn't prevent some high-energy games.
The highlight of each day was, of course, story telling under our baobab tree. Our three wonderful story-tellers made bible studies come alive.
One highlight was the Thursday evening ice cream social. And on Sunday, many of the children presented some of the songs they had learned to our congregation. Listen below:
