Trinity Lutheran Church

Outreach and Social Ministry

Kirk Care

Kirk Care is a non-profit organization founded by the Kirkwood Ministerial Alliance and actively supported by 13 churches. We routinely collect member donations of food for delivery to the Kirk Care pantry as well as money for assistance of needy families with rent and utilities.

Oktoberfest was a new fund-raising event for Kirk Care at Trinity in 2015, and was a big hit.  We collected  over $5,000 and 248 food items 2015; over $8,000 and 237 items in 2016, and over $6,500 and 300 items in 2017.  What a fun way to help those in need!

“God’s Helping Hands”

Trinity helps support an outreach program in north St. Louis City centered at Antioch Baptist Church that is supported by participating churches. Janis Hutchinson is their coordinator. Each month a group of volunteers from Trinity prepares and serves a Sunday morning breakfast to 100-150 people at the church.

Below our photos from Trinity’s June 2020 “Drive Up & Drop Off Supplies and Food Drive” for God’s Helping Hands, and photos from a Christmas party.
